Three Deols and a big punch

The coming together of the three Deols is nothing short of a cinematic event. For the first time in Bollywood history, veteran actor Dharmendra and his two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol team up for Anil Sharma's film Apne , which releases this Friday.
Though the promos would have you believe that the film is about boxing, Dharmendra has made it clear in the film's promotional events that 'Apne' is about familial bonding and kinship. The film tells the story of a father's dream to reclaim his lost honour through his sons.
'Apne' has Dharmendra playing a disgraced boxer Baldev Choudhary who hopes that his elder son Angad (Sunny) will reclaim his lost honour someday. But the elder son has other aspirations from life. That is when Baldev's younger son Karan (Bobby) dons the boxing gloves to become an international champion. But this journey will not be without pain for all the members of the family.
Bobby Deol says his dad, his brother and he had been toying with the idea of acting together for a long time but they never came across a script to justify their teaming together. "But when we heard the concept of 'Apne' we all knew that this is the film we all wanted to be in. And the film is directed by Anil Sharma who is a member of our family," says Bobby. ….read more
