The real Riaa of ‘Aap Kaa Suroor’

Himesh Reshammiya’s much awaited debut movie as a hero has been creating waves already with its music previews. His leading lady is also something Himesh has been keeping away from the media glare. We know her only as Riaa.
It has now been revealed that Riaa is actually a child artist Hansika Motiwani, who has worked in several films and TV serials. She started her career as a child artiste featuring in many episodes of the TV Serial ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. She was also seen in the movie ‘Jaago’, where she played the central character of a 10-year old girl, who gets gang-raped on a train.
Hansika has now re-surfced as a mature teenager and was supposed to debut opposite Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh, in the movie ‘He-The Only One’. But for some reasons this movie has not taken off.
Himesh Reshammiya says that there was nothing about hiding his heroine or any sort of gimmick. He adss “My producer, director and I auditioned nearly seventy girls for the part. And Hansika was perfect. She went through an entire re-acclimitization programme. She was put through rigorous dancing classes. Her complete image and look has been changed for my film. But we had no intention of hiding her real identity. Jo hai so hai. She was rechristened Riia because that’s her character’s name in Aap Ka Suroor. And why only Hindi films? Riia (Hansika) has done some films in the South where she played the lead actress,” adds Himesh.
“But Aap Ka Suroor is her real launch,” promises Himesh.
