The bitter half!

The latest pair to share cold vibes in tinsel town is Bipasha Basu and Aftab Shivdasani. If sources are to be believed, Bipasha was not too happy about her co-star Aftab in Meghana Gulzar's film Bread, Butter and Cash. Apparently, she held their lack of on-screen chemistry and coaxed the producer to get another actor instead.
The story goes that after their poor show in Footpath (2003), both Bipasha and Aftab have not been too keen on working with each other. There have been instances in the past when Bipasha has begged out of projects featuring Aftab citing lame excuses. Also, they are not quite fond of each other. Says an industry insider, "You will hardly see them together at parties. In spite of having worked in a film together, they are not quite friendly with each other."
Apparently, Bipasha believes that they don't make a suitable pair and this time round, he had clearly told the producers about her apprehension. However, the production house is maintaining a stoic silence. Meghna Gulzar says, "I don't feel it's auspicious to talk about the actors once the actors have signed their respective contracts." ….read more
