Tanuja Chandra, an extremely gifted and versatile director is all set to showcase her two extremely different films, on the same day albeit in two different countries! ZINDAGGI ROCKS, starring Sushmita Sen and Shiney Ahuja, is premiering in Mumbai on the 6th of October and also premiering same day is her other English film called HOPE AND A LITTLE SUGAR, and that is premiering in a major film festival in America!
Showcasing in New York's SOUTH ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL, HOPE AND A LITTLE SUGAR is about a Muslim-Sikh love story set in the backdrop of 9/11. And one can't get two films that are so entirely different from each other! Talk about chalk and cheese, where ZINDAGGI ROCKS is a Bollywood film, based on a Rock star's life, set in Hindi and produced by Anurradha Prasad's BAG films, HOPE AND A LITTLE SUGAR is based in English, and has American Producers.
What is common though between both films is an Indian star cast, with the English film starring Anupam Kher, Mahima Chowdhary, Vikram Chatwal and a newcomer Amit Cial. Her Bollywood flick ZINDAGGI ROCKS stars Sushmita Sen, Shiney Ahuja, Kim Sharma, and Moushimi Chatterjee.
