Sudhir Mishra to make ‘Devdas’

Few years ago, there was a phase in Bollywood when a number of films were made on the life of the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. A similar situation seems to have struck Bollywood again but this time the inspiring character is Devdas.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap announced his modern version of 'Devdas' titled 'Dev D' will have Abhay Deol planning the lead role. And now, Sudhir Misha has come up with a unique concept for his take on 'Devdas.'
Sudhir Mishra informs that his 'Devdas' will look into the present day Indian politics. This film will be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Reportedly, Shiney Ahuja is being finalized to play this contemporary version of 'Devdas.' The casting for Paro and Chandramukhi is yet to be done. ….read more
