SRK’s ‘Don’ hits the screens across the country

BollywoodA remake of the famous Bollywood movie 'Don' hit the screens across the country amid comparisons between superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. Describing the most important essence of 'Don', Shahrukh Khan said that he was blessed that he had got a chance to do the movie.

"I did 'Don' for the fact that I have grown up watching Amitji's 'Don'. I am very blessed that I was given a chance but apart from that, Farhan Akhtar has made some amazing screenplay changes to the inherent quality of 'Don'. , the beginning of 'Don', the ending of 'Don', and to me, I did the film for those portions. I think what the beauty is and relevance for today is the fact the way he has turned around the screenplay. I think that is the most important essence of the new 'Don'," Shahrukh Khan said. Reflecting on the character of 'Don', Khan said it was an image of a 'bad guy' that is different from the stereotypical villains of Bollywood movies.

"Few things which were essential for the character, one he should be very quiet, very menacing and never have the need to shout. Whenever I have played negative roles, I like the psychopath variety of bad guys and the intelligent variety of bad guys. I try to cover up that physicality by use of intelligence for a character like 'Don'," Khan added. ….read more
