Shiney-Soha to play Guru Dutt-Waheeda?

Sudhir Mishra’s forthcoming film BAHUT NIKLE MERE ARMAAN stars Shiney Ahuja and Soha Ali Khan. As per reports in a daily, the film has the duo playing a director and actor respectively, While Shiney will essay the character of legendary Guru Dutt, Soha plays the beautiful Waheeda Rehman. The film is set in 1950’s and is Mishra’s take on the film industry. Vidya Balan was the original choice for Soha’s role.
‘The film is about spirited, bohemian people who put their personal wealth and studios at stake to make films. The characters of my film are not based on specific actors. I have drawn references from the lives of directors and actors in that period who were emotionally attached to films. My film is a homage to them,’ Mishra was quoted as saying earlier. ….read more
