Salman Khan gets reprieve in poaching case

Salman Khan must be somewhat relieved now, as the Rajashtan High Court has given him a reprieve in the chinkara poaching case. The court seems to be saying that the human poaching issue needs to be handle first, as it is more critical.

So, Salman may be out for years, before he is asked to be present in court again. He appeared in court yesterday and his case was referred to judicial backlog and will be taken up in due course. His lawyer told media that this could take five to seven years.

Meanwhile, people in the Bishnoi village who protect the animals say the case against Salman has cut down on poaching. Atleast, something good has come about from all this media attention to the case !
