No big birthday bash for Big B

This year's birthday will be one of the saddest birthday he ever had. With his ailing mother in the hospital for quite some days now Big B is in no mood to celebrate his birthday today. To add to the sadness, he lost a very close friend Lalit Suri, 2 days ago.
"Arrey, what birthday? There's hardly anything to celebrate. I'm totally against all celebration, most of all this year when my mother is so unwell. I can't think of anything else right now," he said. For most of the last few months he had been away shooting. Son Abhishek used to be with his grand mom in Big B's absence, but now Abhishek also has been busy with shooting abroad, so Jaya Bachchan has been taking care of her. "It's okay," he whispered when asked about the string of catastrophes in the last year. "I can't complain. It's life. You've take it as it comes," he says. Amidst such personal turmoil his drive for challenging roles and his commitment to his work remains unfazed. "I guess I'm the luckiest actor in the world. And I've been in the right place to get the right opportunities," he said.
