Guru to do a Lord’s

Mani Ratnam's Guru will premiere at the prestigious Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre in Toronto, Canada, on January 11 with the entire cast and crew of the film. Roger Nair Productions has acquired the Canadian rights from Bobby Bedi's company Kaleidoscope Entertainment. Incidentally The Lord of The Rings among many other films also premiered in the same theatre.

This has been a landmark deal between Canada and India making Canada an official territory of Bollywood films. Historically, the Indian film industry has always looked upon North America as one unit and lobbying of Canadian company to be given video and television rights have been futile, forcing them to get only exhibition rights that did not give them much right to go after video piracy. With a Canadian company acquiring absolute theatrical, video and TV rights ensures every legal right to curb piracy with the help of police and the justice system.

The film opens in theatres Canadawide Cineplex, AMC and Empire on January 12. ….read more

    I cant believe it,I called to get tickets today and believe me I had to do a lot of research and I got two .this is how I did it .I googled Roger nair turns out he is a producer and his company is called Lionheart production house www.lionheartproduction.com I found the contacts there after all this exercise i realized that there is a site rogernairproductions.com and i could have just got it there.For the guys who dont know this I called 905 450 0333
