Dilip Kumar will be honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Veteran actor Yusuf Khan, popularly known as Dilip Kumar, will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

This award is one of the prestigious awards in Indian cinema, instituted by Dadasaheb Phalke Academy. The award is given annually in recognition of contribution to Indian cinema. The award function, this year, will be held on April 30th.

Actor Jeetendra too will be given the Academy award for his contribution to the Indian film industry. Other veteran actors to receive the award are Bina Rai of Aarkali fame, Sushila Rani Patel, Shashikala, Kum Kum, Aroona Irani and Amrita Rao for her role in Vivah, and veteran directors Gulshan Bahl, Lekh Tondon, producers Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya, and Gautam Adhikari of Sab TV.
